When churches memorize Scripture together, the members deepen their dependency upon God’s Word, grow in Word-centered friendships, enrich their prayers for one another, and build unity that is essential to the body of Christ (Ephesians 4:13–16, Colossians 3:14). This is why, with the aid of Fighter Verses, a ministry of Truth:78, Immanuel is seeking to memorize Scripture together throughout 2026. The weekly memory verse is shared in the bulletin, the Immanuel Connect, and implemented into the Sunday School hour, with helpful resources available here, and in the Immanuel app. You can even access an example outline for family worship here.
May the Word of Christ dwell in us richly during 2026, that we may teach and admonish one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in our hearts to God (Col. 3:16).

We are officially hiring for a part-time Immanuel Women's Ministry Coordinator.
Working directly with the Lead Community Discipleship Pastor, the Immanuel Women’s Ministry Coordinator leads efforts to teach and care for women within our church body. Primary responsibilities include planning the teachings and overseeing all details for women’s gatherings, conferences, and Bible studies. The Coordinator determines the teaching focus, selects and approves teachers, and recruits, leads, develops, and oversees volunteers serving this ministry. The ultimate aim is to provide impactful teaching, Bible studies, and mentoring opportunities that build up the women of Immanuel in their faith and gospel understanding, equipping them to live distinctly feminine and holy lives to the glory of God. This is a contract position averaging 20 hours per week.

Immanuel’s Pastoral Apprenticeship is a three-year program designed for men who aspire to be pastors, shepherds, and missionaries laboring in the local church. The program is designed to equip men on a trajectory toward pastoral ministry. Our aim is to raise up men from within the church to strengthen our church, as well as, to train men to be sent out to churches in America and the nations. We want to entrust the gospel message to faithful men who will be able to teach others also (2 Tim. 2:2). The program includes biblical and theological study in a classroom setting, as well as, opportunities to observe and participate in practical and pastoral ministry. We want to see men grow in knowledge, character, and experience, so we structure our efforts to address all of these areas. Apprentices now have the option to gain 18 hours of core M-Div credit through SBTS while going through our program.

As the Lord continues to faithfully shape our Immanuel family to reflect our vision of "building a community from all cultures where Christ is King," we are grateful to introduce a real-time translation service: Kaleo AI. Let's serve our missionaries together! Over the next 5 weeks, our Facility Care Manager, Mick Gibson, will be focused on home improvements and remodeling at Immanuel's Mission House. Owned by Immanuel, this house serves missionaries who return to the U.S. for short visits or respite and refuel time before they return to the mission field.
Work begins June 2nd. Whether you are skilled or unskilled, we can put you to work!

Kitchen & Structural: Kitchen demolition, removing/installing new cabinets, removing a doorway, and framing a new wall with drywall.
Utility & Finish Work: Relocating outlets, wood floor refinishing, painting, and deep cleaning.
The Immanuel Worship Ministry is looking to add singers and musicians to our team. This was sung by the first congregations as a portion of Psalm 78: "We will not hide them from their children, but tell to the coming generation the glorious deeds of the LORD, and his might, and the wonders that he has done." All members are responsible for telling Immanuel's children about God. One avenue to do this is serving in our nursery.

Mentorship
Immanuel partners with The Prisoner's Hope to provide biblical teaching/counseling for inmates through letter writing and other correspondence. We aim to foster character transformation for wise living under the Lordship of Christ in all areas of life. If you have a desire to learn more about living out the Great Commission by mentoring a prison inmate through The Prisoner’s Hope ministry, please contact William Mullins at wmullins644@students.sbts.edu.
Chaperoning
We are also looking for more men to join the team of chaperones for men who are members and/or visiting Immanuel who are on the Registered Sex Offender Registry. As a church, we are eager to warmly welcome any/all no matter their background, but we also labor to balance our warm welcome with commitments to protect the vulnerable. To volunteer to serve as a chaperone or to learn more about that ministry, please contact William Mullins at wmullins644@students.sbts.edu.
In our efforts to ensure that no need goes unmet among Immanuel's members (Acts 4:34), our deacons seek to connect short-term housing needs with members who are able to open their homes to meet those needs. If you have a room, a basement or garage apartment, or even just a couch that you are willing to offer up to a member who might find themselves in a housing crisis, please let our deacons know by filling out this form.
The Lord provides for the needs of his people and has appointed deacons in the church to help administer this provision so that there would not be a needy person among us at Immanuel. If you are aware of a need that the Lord might meet through the care of our deacons, please make our deacons aware of it through our Mercy Needs Form.

As we study our community we are seeking to identify the burdens, needs, and desires of our neighbors. The key to serving our community is to locate all available church assets and begin connecting them to these burdens and needs. As a church, God has equipped us with many gifts, talents, and resources to be used to serve one another, as well as, those around us. So, would you share the ways God has gifted you to serve?
